For me, there’s a difference between vacation and travel. A vacation is a break from the world. It means lying on a beach, getting cozy in a mountain cabin, or leisurely exploring a small town. Travel is getting to the know the world a little bit better. It’s meeting the locals, trying new foods, and stepping outside your comfort zone.

I’m Kelley and I started Tides and Limes because I believe in both. The joy of sinking into a beach chair with a view and the thrill of discovering a new city or country. My own travels have taken me through the mountains of Banff, the vineyards of Mendoza, the jungles of Costa Rica and Belize, and Oktoberfest in Munich. I travel to feel more connected: to people, to places, and to the stories that make each destination unique.

As a travel advisor based in Washington, DC, I work with travelers who want more than just a trip. They want an experience that feels intentional, seamless, and an experience true to who they are. Whether you are dreaming of a luxury escape, a fast paced adventure, or a relaxing getaway, I handle all the logistics so you can focus on enjoyment.

Working with a travel advisor gives you something booking engines can’t: a real person keeping an eye on the details. I help narrow down the best options, share insights from experience and trusted partners, and save you the time of sorting through endless choices. Plus, if something unexpected comes up, you have support in your corner to figure out next steps.

I charge a professional planning fee starting at $350 per trip for up to 4 people. This covers my time to research, design an itinerary, and provide ongoing support. While I am paid commission on most bookings, this planning fee allows me flexibility to support all aspects of your trip.

Already know what hotel or cruise you’d like? I can book hotels and cruises complimentary so you can take advantage of VIP perks.

Yes! Travel insurance is more important than ever an can help protect you during unexpected delays, cancelations, and other emergencies. Policy coverage varies but most plans come with additional benefits if purchased within 14 days of the initial deposit.

Every trip begins with a complimentary discovery call so you can tell me exactly what you are looking for. No detail is too small! Tell me everything.

Then, I’ll present a custom itinerary that can be edited to build your perfect trip. Once approved, I’ll handle booking and additional logistics. You will receive digital final copies of your itinerary and support will be available during travel.
